Project Manager
Kampo Electric, Inc - Kaukauna, WI

The Project Manager will be accountable for planning, directing and coordinating a variety of electrical projects for commercial structures. This position will insure that all specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities include planning, directing and coordinating activities of a designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished with prescribed time frame and parameters. This position will require ongoing updates to management and customers on program status and objectives.

Duties (other duties may be assigned)

  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule.
  • Proactively build and sustain relationships with clients and general contractors, both while on the job and through networking. Ensure we are proactively communicating with the client at all times.
  • Responsible for contract management; initial conversations through final project completion.
  • Prepare and/or review project reports for management, client or others.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
  • Must be able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and timelines.
  • Set clear goals and expectations to employees.
  • Yearly reviews with employees.
  • Must be able to drive company vehicles.

  • Responsible for project activities, including scheduling, procurement, activity management, engineering activities and tasks.
  • Responsible for management of the communication plan to document and disseminate project details and information.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers through frequent oral and written communication.
  • Coordinate technical and project progress as required by customers.
  • Ensure adherence to standard processes and procedures throughout all phases of the project.
  • Review and evaluate customer requires for proposals and/or change requests.
  • Identify, track, manage and assist in resolving project issues.
  • Communicate information to leadership team and customers.
  • Promotes a team environment.

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time and manage tight deadlines.


  • Experience and knowledge in electrical field preferred
  • Journeyman or Masters license preferred but not required
  • At least three years supervision experience
  • Project scheduling skills required
  • Previous experience in managing projects
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills along with the ability to collaborate with peers
  • Strong computer and business skills
Work is divided between office and field work with employees on job sites. Hours of work are usually days Monday through Friday with some variation due to projects, deadlines and other issues. Occasional overnight business travel may be required.

Job Type: Full Time

Salaray: $50,000 - $75,000/year depending on experience

Required Experience:

  • Previous Project Management preferred
  • Electrical background a plus

Required Licenses: Driver's License
